About
A small firm, on purpose
Lohrberg Systems was founded in 2016. There are six of us, all engineers: two out of ERP consultancies, one from a freight forwarder’s IT department, the rest from in-house integration teams. The name comes from the Lohrberg, the hill on the north edge of Frankfurt with the vineyard and the view over the city.
We work in English and German. Documentation is delivered in whichever language the client's own team reads; a specification the team cannot read was not worth writing.
Most of our clients are within two hours of Frankfurt: the Rhein-Main area and the Rhine corridor, chemicals, logistics, manufacturing, food wholesale. A few are further away and stay because interface work travels well once discovery has been done in person.
We stay at six deliberately. Interface work is handed over person to person, and six is the number of people who can all hold the picture of every client's estate at once. A bigger firm would know each system less well, not better. Six also means every interface we run is known by at least two of us, so a holiday never forces a hurried handover.
When we are full, we say so and name a date. We would rather do that than hire quickly.
